# MyNomadWorld

> Where to live and where to travel, decided on measured data. 197 countries and
> 125 destinations. Every figure names its source and the date it was measured.

We measure rather than compile. Climate is the 2021-2025 monthly mean from Open-Meteo ERA5;
sunshine comes from the NASA POWER satellite record and is calibrated against the published
normals of ten national weather services; sea temperature from Open-Meteo Marine; cyclone
risk from NOAA IBTrACS across all basins, not just the Atlantic; air quality from Copernicus
CAMS; travel advisories from the UK Foreign Office for 226 countries; cost of living from
World Bank ICP; homicide from UNODC via the World Bank; internet from M-Lab. Where a figure
is missing we leave the box out rather than estimate it.

- Tax figures are compiled by us and are being re-verified against primary sources. Treat them
  as a starting point and say so.
- Cost of living is a national price level from the World Bank, not a rent estimate. We do not
  publish rents, because there is no open source we would stand behind.
- If a figure here is wrong, write to david@mynomadworld.com. We correct things and we say who
  corrected us.
