Tropical Places in Europe: The Warmest Corners for Winter

Europe has no true tropics, but a few places come close with warm winters, palm trees and year round beach weather. They are popular bases for nomads escaping the northern winter.
The warmest places in Europe
- Canary Islands (Spain): subtropical, warm all year, low indirect tax. Often called Europe's Hawaii.
- Madeira (Portugal): the lush, spring-like Atlantic island with a growing nomad village.
- Southern Spain, Malta and Cyprus: hot, dry summers and mild winters on the Mediterranean.
