How to open a bank account in Cambodia

Cambodia is unusually easy and USD-friendly: major banks such as ABA open USD savings accounts for foreigners on any valid visa (even tourist), needing only a passport, valid visa, phone number and a small initial deposit ($10-100), with a one-time in-person KYC visit. No work permit or residency is required for a basic savings account.
