How to open a bank account in Serbia

Foreigners (residents and many non-residents) can open accounts; banks typically ask for a passport, the 'white card' (address registration), a residence permit if you have one, proof of address and often a tax number. Most accounts offer RSD plus EUR/USD/CHF sub-accounts, but Serbia is not in the SEPA/eurozone so some cross-border transfers cost more.
